The novel series “The Way to Freedom” is the story about how modern civilization is being destroyed, by the destruction of the financial system and its core element, money, as the trends of ever increasing private and public debt keep accelerating, ignoring the warning sign provided by repeated crises. A Professor in economics, with a group of his former students, fights against this trend in order to reinstate an alternative monetary system based on gold, protecting private savings and property, and thereby individual freedom.

COULD GOLD MONEY SAVE THE WORLD?

WOULD WESTERN GOVERNMENTS LET THIS HAPPEN?

As a global financial crisis escalates, the birth of a new monetary system in a small country holds the promise of a new world freed from repeated crises. But the race is tight to salvage whatever can be salvaged as the United States and the European Union slam radical tax increases on wealthy individuals and successful corporations in an attempt to weather the crisis. Realizing that the trend toward gold money represents a direct threat to their power over society, governments and central banks set out to destroy it, but they encounter unexpected resistance ignited by the professor and his former students.

CAN GOVERNMENTS KEEP FINANCING GIANT DEBT AND DEFICITS?

OR WILL THEY DESTROY THE WORLD’S FINANCIAL SYSTEM?

After the introduction of gold money in a major country, the situation further worsens in the big-government-high-tax Western world. There public debt keeps increasing without bounds, and issuing bonds is becoming difficult due to further drain of capital, savings, and talent. The drain goes to the gold countries, but also to the emerging economic powers China, India, Russia, and Brazil. After a failed attempt to cover deficits by increasing taxes, Western governments face a frightening choice: either cut public spending by half or escape from their debts by printing money and starting hyperinflation – thereby destroying the world’s financial system as we know it.
Professor Benson, and the social network created by his former student Mark Lomack are, once again, at the heart of breathtaking events when this crisis culminates.

Money’s Creative Destruction” is the second of four parts in the novel series The Way to Freedom, written by Carl Kyler. It brings to life heroic characters and aims to depict a world freed of tough problems that have plagued the last century.
